At ScribeChrono, we stand behind the quality and speed of our technology. Because the Service is digital and infrastructure costs are incurred immediately, we apply a strict, transparent refund policy.
1. Digital service and right of withdrawal
ScribeChrono provides an intangible digital service that begins as soon as you take action.
Under applicable consumer rules for digital content not supplied on a physical medium, you expressly agree that performance of the Service begins when you start a transcription.
You acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the Service has been substantially performed.
2. The “consumed service” rule (no-refund policy)
Our model relies on instant requests to AI providers, billed per second of processing. The following rules apply:
- No refund will be granted to a User who has consumed more than sixty (60) cumulative seconds of transcription on their account, regardless of the reason given.
- Free trial periods (welcome credits) let you test speed, accuracy, and compatibility before any paid commitment.
- Monthly or annual plan purchases are final once the 60-second threshold above has been exceeded.
3. Subscription cancellation
You control your subscription. You may cancel anytime, 24/7, from your dashboard settings.
Effect of cancellation
- Cancellation stops future charges.
- Your account will not be billed on the next cycle.
Continued access
You keep full access to your plan and transcription allowance until the end of the current billing period (month or year already paid).
No prorated refunds
We do not issue partial or prorated refunds for unused days or hours if you cancel before the paid period ends.
4. Exceptions and major technical failures
A refund or compensatory credit may be considered, at our sole discretion, only in the following cases:
- Proven system failure — a major technical bug confirmed by our engineers that caused loss of credits without a corresponding transcript (e.g. persistent unresolved API failure).
- Accidental double billing — a clear error by our payment processor.
The following are not valid grounds for a refund:
- unstable internet connection on the User’s side;
- outdated browser;
- corrupted or inaudible audio or video file.

5. Fraud and chargebacks
We have zero tolerance for fraud and abusive payment disputes (chargebacks).
Any unjustified payment dispute will result in:
- immediate and irreversible suspension of your ScribeChrono account;
- deletion of all associated data and transcripts;
- listing of your identifiers and IP address on a blocklist shared with our payment processors.
